My Magazine Ad

The main goal of this ad to me was that it was meant to be a work of art in itself. It was significant to make the magazine ad seem as creative and vibrant as the event is going to be! My design appeals to my intended audience because it gets the envisioned message across unmistakably, which is that the Sawdust Arts Festival is a fun creative event, and that it takes place in California; hence the California flag detail and the colorful background. I made sure to add a pink border around the main flyer to add an organized feel, also to make sure that people are able to focus in on the content. I specifically chose to use a rainbow color scheme because that scheme is consistent on their website. I received the background picture of the Sawdust store off of their site because the image sums up the entire event. Also, I made sure to use the gradient tool to ensure that the background color and picture blend as if they are one object. I think that the art director and client will be very pleased with the outcome.
